As you may have already guessed, I love hooping… and bunnies 🙂 I am from Troy, NY and currently reside in Vestal, NY right outside of Binghamton. Hooping is catching on in the area slowly, but surely and I’m doing my part to spread the hoop love however I can!
I was first introduced to hooping at the Mountain Jam festival in 2009 when I saw so many girls with pretty decorative hula hoops and I was immediately interested once I saw what they could do with them! I always loved hula hooping as a little girl so upon returning home after the fest I researched, ordered an instructional hooping video, and made a hoop for myself to get started on my own hoop path.

Now I hoop almost every day either in a group with other hoopers or by myself in my backyard. I attend the MoonandStars HoopDance class every week, which is a lot of fun and gives me the chance to hoop with other awesome hoopers (Please join us! It’s tons of fun!).

I am also continuously learning tricks on my own and crafting my own hoops. I started selling hoops at my Etsy shop, HoopBunny Hoops, last year (2011) and also sold them at the Tight Knit market in Troy last summer. Now I continue to run my Etsy shop and occasionally sell hoops in the local community when I get the chance.

I love hooping, not only because it is just plain FUN, but also because of the physical and mental health benefits, as well as the sense of community it brings when connecting with others.
