My First Hoop Video!

I have recorded my first hooping video! Well, actually it’s not technically my first video, but I recorded my other videos with an actual video camera and when I went to upload them, realized my computer doesn’t have a video uploader & BF threw away the CD for the camera. Urgh.

Anyway, here is my NEWEST video. It is mostly hand hooping. The new trick I am currently working on is the vertical behind the back pass (I think that’s what it is called anyway). It is when the hoop is spinning on the vertical axis behind my back. It’s a lot harder than it looks! I have a cut on my nose that is finally healing which was caused by the hoop somehow coming in front of my while practicing this and landing right on my sunglasses… ouch! From that I learned not to wear glasses while hooping!

If you want to learn how to do vertical behind the back hooping, check out this tutorial by Caroleeena:

  1. I really enjoyed your hooping video! I also just learned the behind the back vertical pass you were mentioning, and you’re right! the handwork is a lot more tricky than it looks. you were doing a beautiful job though! I really want to learn how to smoothly do the isolation tricks you were doing. The kind of slow-mo bouncing and how the hoop ‘jumps’ to the left and right. Those sorts of moves make all the difference in flow! Get it girl!!! (:

    • Aww thank you! I’d like to learn more isolations too. What I’ve got down so far with isos is all just from playing around with the hoop. I didn’t really use any tutorials for that so I wasn’t sure if it even looked OK ’til I recorded this video. I was a little impressed with myself for that one! 🙂

  3. ah… you look really good doing these hand motions…i think you call them isolations? great video! peace
